A presentation of the spatial and technological practices of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. - the largest retail corporation in the world. The lecture will address the emergence of Wal-Mart's 'infrastructural' architecture characterized by transformations at scales of body, building, and territory including new relationships between humans and information, new attitudes toward architecture, and new approaches to spatial control.
